Maureen has extensive experience as a librarian/information officer in both private and public sector organisations, including the Educational Research Centre in Dublin, the British Standards Institution, the European Commission and Mars/Masterfoods. Much of her work has involved a European dimension, ranging from research librarian in science and technology at the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission in Italy, to working in a Euro Info Centre, a European business information network, at the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce, and now at NFER as part of a similar network for European education systems
Much of Maureen’s work involves the provision of web-based information and publications to local authorities in England and Wales and monitoring news sources for both internal and external use. She also works on information provision and other projects for the Eurydice Network, C4EO, the Local Government Group and DfE.
